About

Hi! Thank you for checking out my page. I created it to share my Peace Corps adventures and other goals with the world.

I am currently a Peace Corps Trainee and will swear in on August 17, 2017 to serve for two years in Kosovo. I’m part of the 4th cohort and am an Education volunteer.

Prior to joining Peace Corps, I was the Outreach and Impact Manager for the Center for the Future of Arizona where I worked on cross sector partnerships ranging from education pipeline issues to healthcare. I also led two youth civic engagement projects–DemocraSeed and Participatory Budgeting.

Additionally, I have taught more than 40 undergraduate communication class at Maricopa County Community Colleges and Arizona State University. I was also elected as the Graduate Student Body President of Arizona State University for the 2013-2014 academic year. As President, I successfully advocated for increasing teaching and research assistant wages  and implemented several programs to promote graduate student success. I started my graduate school career as a research assistant for the Center for Strategic Communication working on narrative persuasion efforts through grants funded by the Department of Defense and DARPA.

I hold dual B.S. degrees in Political Science and Communication and a Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from Arizona State University.
